Some Saturdays are for sleeping in. This one was for showing up before the sun — on a padel court, barefoot on a yoga mat, surrounded by women who simply wanted to move.
The court, already awake.
Morning flow on the court — Flow & Play by Prahara × Ampang Racquet Club
We came along to Flow & Play, a morning of yoga and community hosted by Prahara and Ampang Racquet Club. Not as hosts, just as guests — there to breathe, to move, and to cheer on our friend Atilia, who led the room through the morning in EQL.
Mats down, shoes off, coffee still kicking in.
Folding into the stretch.
The court that usually echoes with rallies was quiet and golden. Mats went down in soft rows, water bottles gathered at the edges, and the room filled with that easy, unhurried chatter that only happens early in the morning. There is something grounding about starting the day this way — slow, together, unrushed.
Warrior, fold, breathe, repeat.
Eyes up, and breathe.
Then the flow began. Warrior into fold, breath into movement, the whole room rising and settling like one slow tide. Watching Atilia move through it — stretching, twisting, folding without a second thought about her clothes — was exactly the reminder we love: activewear should disappear into the movement. Designed in Asia for Asian bodies, true to size, so you can forget it is there and just be in the moment.
A little play crept into the flow — because why not.
A quiet moment, mid-flow.
And it was not all serious. There was laughter, wobbles, a bit of playful acro-yoga, the kind of gentle chaos that happens when a group of strangers slowly become a room of friends. No cost, no pressure — just good company and a shared hour of feeling good.
The real magic of the morning: the people.
Grateful we got to be here.
We slipped out before the padel and pickleball began — the second half of the morning belonged to the racquets, and to the community that ARC has quietly been building. But we left full: a little sweaty, a little lighter, and grateful we got to be part of such a beautiful start to the weekend.
Thank you to Atilia, Prahara, and Ampang Racquet Club for having us. Here is to more mornings that begin with movement.
